I wanted to explore some of the hikes close to home and find out what they were actually like, not just what the distance and elevation numbers said. I recorded each route, stopped along the way to share what I was noticing, and looked at the scenery, terrain, difficulty and overall experience. Some hikes were easier than expected, while others had rough sections or challenges that did not really show up in the trail descriptions. This website is my honest look at what stood out, what was worth the effort and who I think would enjoy each hike.
